Cohasset Democratic Town Committee Elects State Convention Delegates

Cohasset Democrats to Elect Delegates to State Convention:

Registered Democrats in Cohasset will be holding a caucus at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library on June 1 at 11:00 to elect delegates to the 2019 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. The convention will be held on Saturday, September 14 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield where thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to discuss party business and celebrate our successes as we prepare for upcoming elections.  For people who are excited about politics and want to make a difference; local caucuses are a great opportunity for those who are interested to become involved in order to share our Democratic values.

The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Cohasset.   Pre-registered Democrats who will be age 16 by May 11, 2019, will be able to participate in Democratic Town Caucus and run for delegate. Folks wishing to pre-register may do so on-line at www.massdems.org.  Also, there will be an opportunity for any Cohasset, unregistered citizen to register as a Democrat at the June 1 Caucus. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women, and all ballots will be written and secret.  In the spirit of inclusion, youth, minorities and people with disabilities who are not elected as delegates or alternates may apply to be add-on delegates, either at the caucus or online at www.massdems.org.

The Cohasset Democratic Town Committee meets on the first Saturday of the month at the Paul Pratt Library (Cohasset Library) in the meeting room at 10:00a. This month our regular meeting will be June 1 at 10:00 before the Caucus at 11:00.  For more information on Cohasset’s upcoming caucus or the Cohasset Democratic Town Committee, please contact John Chapman at 781-383-1565 or jchapman@markcilian.com , or Gail Collins at 781-383-9789.
